In 2016, I found torn-out pages from a paperback novel strewn over the sidewalk. I wanted to use the pages to create blackout poems, so I picked them up and took them with me. Later, I realized I had a kind of literal concrete poetry opportunity, so I went back and photographed the sidewalk patches where I had found the pages. The found poems were exhibited with the sculpturally crumpled erasures mounted over the photos of the sidewalk.
